LAMPONE

“Lampone” è un maglioncino smanicato lavorato dall’alto verso il basso ed ha una linea morbida e comoda.

Si incomincia a lavorare il dietro che è modellato da una serie di ferri accorciati ed è lavorato a maglia rasata. Gli scalfi sono sagomati da una serie di aumenti e, alla fine di questo passaggio, le maglie sono lasciate in sospeso su un filo di scarto.

Si proseguirà lavorando i due davanti, lavorandoli separatamente e modellando il collo con una serie di aumenti. Si prosegue montando le restanti maglie per il collo, unendo i due davanti e si lavora, come per il dietro, fino alla fine dello sprone, lavorando la serie di aumenti per lo scalfo manica.

A questo punto si uniscono il davanti e il dietro, si montano le maglie per le ascelle e si continua a lavorare in tondo fino a raggiungere la lunghezza desiderata. In corrispondenza dei fianchi si lavora una sezione in un semplice punto pizzo che, più in basso, diventa più ampia e decorativa.

Si termina il corpo con un piccolo bordo a coste ritorte sul davanti e sul dietro dello smanicato.

Una volta terminato il corpo del maglioncino, si riprendono le maglie lungo lo scollo e si lavora un piccolo collo a coste ritorte.

Infine si riprendono le maglie lungo gli scalfi e si lavorano i bordi a coste ritorte.

“Lampone” (“raspberry” in Italian) is a cropped loose-fitting slipover knit from the top down.

First the back is knit; it is shaped with a series of short rows and is knit in stockinette stitch. The underarms are shaped using a series of increases. When the underarm shaping has been completed, the stitches are transferred to a piece of waste yarn. 

Next the two fronts are knit separately; the neckline is shaped with a series of increases; the rest of the stitches for the neckline are cast on and the two fronts are joined. The front is worked the same as the back up to the yoke and the underarms are shaped with a series of increases. 

At this point, the front and back are joined, the underarm stitches are cast-on and knitting continues in the round until the desired length is reached. A simple lace stitch is worked in sections along the sides, the motif expands and becomes more decorative towards the lower edge. The body is finished with a shallow, twisted rib border, knit only on the front and the back of the sleeveless top. 

When the body is completed, the neckline stitches are picked up and a small, twisted rib collar is knit.

Finally, the stitches along the armholes are picked up to knit a twisted rib edging.
