“Kilim” è una maglietta dalla linea oversized lavorata dall’alto verso il basso in un unico pezzo.
Usando il primo colore, si incomincia a lavorare il bordo a coste ritorte del davanti, poi si prosegue con una sezione lavorata a maglia legaccio.
Si proseguirà lavorando il primo punto mosaico. Questo punto sembra complicato, ma in realtà è piuttosto semplice perché ogni due ferri si lavora solamente con un colore. Consiglio, in ogni caso, di usare colori contrastanti: questo accorgimento semplificherà il lavoro e renderà il motivo del punto mosaico finito più bello e definito.
Una volta che si raggiungerà l’altezza dello scalfo desiderata si metteranno le maglie in attesa su un pezzo di filo di scarto.
Ora si riprendono le maglie lungo il bordo dell’avvio e allo stesso tempo di formerà il collo.
Il dietro sarà lavorato come il davanti, con l’unica variante dell’inserimento di ferri accorciati nella parte iniziale per modellare collo e spalle.
Alla fine dello scalfo, si unirà il lavoro in tondo, montando anche le maglie per le ascelle.
Il lavoro continuerà in tondo e si proseguirà la lavorazione con il secondo e poi con il terzo punto mosaico. Alla fine delle sezioni lavorate a punto mosaico, il corpo prosegue a maglia legaccio. A causa della diversa tensione tra le due lavorazioni, il corpo si allargherà molto dopo la lavorazione mosaico, creando una linea scampanata.
Alla fine il corpo sarà completato con un bordo a coste ritorte lavorato con l’ultimo colore che avete usato.
Le maglie per le cortissime maniche sono riprese lungo lo scalfo, e sono lavorate anch’esse a coste ritorte lavorate con il primo colore.

Using the first colour, knitting starts with the twisted rib border for the front. Continue with the garter stitch section.
The knitting continues in a simple mosaic stitch, which may seem complicated; in reality it is quite simple because each set of two rows is knit with only one colour. Once the desired depth of the armhole has been reached, the stitches are placed on a piece of waste yarn.
Next, stitches are picked up along the cast-on edge; at the same time, the neckline stitches are cast on.
The back will be knit the same as the front, with one exception: the addition of short rows to shape the neckline and shoulders.
Upon completion of the armholes, the stitches for the underarms are cast-on and the work is joined in the round and continues with the Mosaic stitch pattern sections. At the end of the Mosaic stitch sections, the body continues in garter stitch. Because of the difference in the tension used for the two types of stitches, the body will widen considerably after the Mosaic section, creating a flared “swing” shape.
When the body has been completed, a twisted rib border is added using the last colour.
The stitches for the short sleeves are picked up along the armhole and are worked in twisted rib stitch using the first colour.
