Un altro haul, però mini stavolta!

LAMA SOTTILE

Lama Sottile” is a semi-circular shawl.
It is knit in one piece from point to point using one strand of linen; a second strand of mohair is added to the linen only when knitting the wedges formed using German short rows, giving the shawl its characteristic curved shape.
The yarn is cut at the start and end of each wedge, leaving a tail of about 10 cm so they can be knotted to create a fringe. Of course, this step can be skipped and the mohair tails can be woven in and hidden for a clean edge.
The strategically placed increases and decreases create a long, slender shape reminiscent of the blade of a sword.
The shawl is knit in garter stitch, so it is completely reversible and an i-cord edging adds structure and stability.
